Just look at what is happening in East-Timor where Interfet troops treat fellow human beings like theirs like dogs. I don't want to deny that there are also Indonesians who behave likewise. Why East Timor and not Aceh and the rest of Indonesia if the West claims to be humanitarian? That's because business interests are of prime importance for these capitalist Western countries, the Timor Gap contains one of the largest oil reserves and is one of the areas with the most marine resources in the World; Timor is also the world's main source of sandalwood used to make fragrant soaps. As to what concerns Indonesia as a whole, the US-led West fears that our richly endowed country will drift away from the pro-Western camp once Megawati becomes president. It's therefore not hard to discern why there is so much anarchy orchestrated by roguish fascist elements in the government and the military which serve the West -- the aim of this is to bring about disintegration of the unitary Indonesian Republic, which, along with Russia, China, India and other non-Western bloc nations, the West fears would pose a serious threat to its regional hegemony; a superpower Indonesian state is of course still ten years away as its economy has yet to recover. Moreover, Indonesia has the biggest Muslim population in the world. Consequently, being traditionally hostile to Islam, most Western countries fear the resurgence of countries with sizeable numbers of Muslims. According to Samuel P. Huntington, in his treatise 'The Clash of Civilizations', foresees a clash between the Occident and the Islamic-Confucianist worlds this Anglo-Saxon erudite who believes in the superiority of the White race with its so-called burden to civilize Asians, Africans and others. Most of us probably aren't conscious of the fact that since 1965, the army fascists who tyrannize over Indonesia will not have been able to do so were it not for the patronage of their US-led Western masters. The Javanization of Indonesia is nothing more than a guise used by these Western powers to recolonize us in an indirect way by manipulating their Javanese puppets from the army. As these Javanese fascists from the military are nominally Muslim/Christian (abangan), the West takes advantage of this characteristic in order to persecute and marginalize Islam (meaning moderate, non-fundamentalist -- authentic Islam) and non-Javanese ethnic groups. Therefore one can understand why there has been so much anti-Islamisms and non-Javanisms since the commencement of the New Order Regime. Obviously so,during the New Order era, was cast aside from its rightful role in national life the Nahdlatul Ulama which represents Islam in its true light, one which is less politically inclined than towards Humanity. An example of anti-non-Javanisms is the discrimination practiced towards non-Javanese people in government and military posts; discrimination was also experienced by Javanese coming from regions from where the fascist military officers (mostly from TNI-AD) generally come. Another sin that must be mentioned is the anti-Sinicism prevalent in Indonesia since the Dutch colonial period which aggravated after 1965. Part of the West's China containment policy, it is very important for the USA and its friends to turn Indonesia into an anti-China bastion. Insofar as to accomplish this, they tried to make us Indonesians think that is identifiable with Communism and whatever evil anything that permeates an aura of Chineseness. The West even continued the Dutch policy of historical distortion to alienate ethnic-Chinese from Indonesian society as a whole. Properly speaking, we should all now realize what our real enemy is, it is not the White people but Neocolonialistic-Imperialistic Capitalism which coincidentally originates from the Occident and is all too prevalent there. This evil philosophy of venerating profit at the expense of the human being is the cause of most of the ills with which our world is stricken with. We Indonesians must learn to accept the fact that the West is responsible for the economic crisis, corruption, moral decadence and atrocities like those in Ambon, in Aceh, in East Timor, in the May riots and in Semanggi I and II. Not to say the least that the resolution to the problem rests ultimately in ourselves -- do we want to continue to be dictated by foreign nations? NO! For the time has now come to reassert our national sovereignty.
