One can only reassert the irrefutable fact that people like you are lost in a desultory state of syllogisms which does not enable them to listen to their heart. It's also rather hard to understand why you assume that I might be a partisan of violence and racist towards Occidentals; you fail to grasp the gist of what I was writing about.

In the first place, in a most condescending manner, you generalize the Indonesian government and military as being collectively responsible for the Human Rights abuses taking place in East-Timor. This is not but a very dangerous assumption that you make for it is roguish elements, or in other words certain segments of the bureaucratic and military apparatus of Indonesia which are guilty of the heinous crimes not only happening in East Timor. Moreover, are on the whole respect the East Timorese peoples' right to independance, we, the Indonesian people who in no way are predisposed to use violent means to resolve a problem; such as it is wrongly perceived by many Occidentals under the pretense of being the champion of democracy in the world.

It is this arrogance of many that prevents the West from understanding the outside world and thus contributing to much unwanted friction between us, human beings undeprived of intelligence as we're supposed to be.

On the other hand, you accuse me of being bigoted towards Occidentals, well listen, if I were what you think me to be then I will not be arguing with you in your English language! Nonetheless, it cannot be denied that Occidentals are "harbringers of evil in the region" for three centuries of Dutch colonialism, accompanied by an interlude of English rule during the Napoleonic wars, brought about a calamitious effect to traditional society in what is today known as Indonesia. These Western intruders disrupted inter-religious and ethnic harmony for which the archipelago was for so long renowned for. I don't need to go into much detail here but I suggest that you go gain some knowledge of at least the history of Java.

Don't ever think that Occidentals are the sole ones who engaged in evil doings in my country, it's just not feasible to see things from such a perspective because are not qualities excusive to a sole ethnicity bad and good which is present in the natures of most human beings at different degrees.

You misconceive me as being prejudiced towards your people, as a matter of fact, what is our enemy and yours too if you experience self-realization, that is namely -- the world view adhered to by most Westerners : Individualism, a manifestation of which is capitalism, that heresy which deifies capital.

Nothing more than naivety can be discerned when you mentioned that the UN as a mutinational organization determined the need to restore peace and order in East-Timor. The UN is only a tool by which the US-led Western bloc manipulates geopolitics, mind you, just look at how the USA and Britain uses its prerogatives in the UN security council to inflict inummerable sufferings on the Iraqi people through those inhuman embargos. Perhaps you are not so childish as you sound, you might then be one of those persons who give more importance to form over substance. Understand what I mean when I say that you could be superficial minded -- your idea of the UN is that which exists only in concepts, notions, ideas and legal formalities. If is reality what would be your fantasmes, therefore this world would be a quasi-paradisiacal place!

I know very well that the UN operations in East-Timor are extremely costly for the countries involved and regret it because ordinary people who are not big capitalists are going to have the bear a big burden -- it's their tax money which is being used for all these bellicose adventures from which dirty politicians and capitalists fatten their bank accounts. The USA for example has one of the biggest budget deficits worldwide, in spite of this it continues to assume the role of global policeman......what a paradox.

Once again, I reiterate that are against the atrocities committed in East Timor as well as elsewhere in the world, myself, along with the majority of my fellow countrymen who are comitted to uphold consistently the universal values of humanity which in no way is an exclusive patent right of the Occident. Remember that Asia is one of the birthplaces of civilization and that we Asians were already
sedentary, building great palaces, temples, and fortifications while the Northern European were still
living in shacks, divided into barbaric tribes which led a nomadic lifestyle.
