Bachelors degree in chemical engineering , chemistry or equivalent. Must have min of 10 years experience of which atleast 7 years must be in Oil & Gas industry. Sound experience in Reinforced Thermosetting Resin applications i.e. pipes & fittings, cable trays & leaders, gratings, tanks & vessels etc.
The coating inspectors duties include:
- Provide technical & consltancy service to operating & engineering divisions on coatings and non-metallic materials.
- Review and advice on project specifications, procedures, vendor pre-qualifications etc.
- Develop technical specifications, procedures and standards for external / internal coatings & linings etc, fire proofing materials, cold / hot insulation,sealants, waterproofing membranes, flooring etc., composite materials ( pipework & fittings, gratings, cable trays & ladders ), protection of onshore & offshore pipelines & auxilliaries.
- fully responsible to access and qualify relevant matertails to be used at company facilities
-Investigate material failure, make recommendations & develop repair procedures.
- Conduct audit function on all coating & painting related activities.
- Supervise laboratory work by local independent testing contractors.
- Audit industrial repaint work.
