Position is responsible for both personnel and task management of a group of NOC technicians and engineers operating 24 x 7. The NOC Supervisor will
Responsibilities:
Establish and enforce procedures guidelines for monitoring network and systems
Setup and install network management and monitoring system
Report on current Customer and Vendor SLA compliance
Developing strategies for network outage reduction
Capacity planning
Keeping abreast of industry products and best-practices in the networking monitoring and performance industry
Train technicians in new skills
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field.
Minimum of 7 years professional experience, with at least 3 years in a supervisory or management role in a network support role.
Demonstrated proficiency with the following technical capabilities: Microsoft/Unix operating systems, Internet and networking technologies.
Experience with Network Management Soft wares
Problem-solving skills within high-pressure environments.
Demonstrated ability to manage and utilize metrics on operation measurements.
Ability to motivate, train, direct, and lead staff.
Ability to articulate and implement strategic plans and business processes.
Location: Stationed in Africa
