Large money manager located in Suburban Washington, D.C., focusing on investments in Emerging Markets is looking for an analyst who will cover equity markets in Taiwan and China/Hong Kong. This position will be responsible for identifying and recommending equity investments using fundamental analysis. On an ongoing basis, investments will be monitored and buy/sell/hold recommendations made. Analysts will be expected to travel to Asia 6-9 weeks a year to meet with companies in the portfolio, and identify new investment opportunities. Additionally analysts will be expected to meet with clients to give them an overview of market conditions and individual investment results. Candidates must be fluent in Mandarin, and have 2-3 years of fundamental equity investment experience of Taiwanese and or Chinese/Hong Kong companies. Good oral and written communication skills are also required as is the willingness for frequent overseas travel. An MBA is a plus, but not required. Base salary and bonus will be offered.
