Roles & Responsibilities
- Participate in a project team of developers, programmers, consultants, search engine specialists, and graphic designers in order to produce large networks of hotel reservation websites utilizing a variety of cutting edge techniques.
- Communicate with marketing, product management, content department, and the integrated project team in all stages of design and development.
- Responsibilities include gathering production requirements, formalizing implementation strategies, assisting in hiring staff, coordinating implementation project teams, managing outsource relationships.
- Oversee and be able to provide technical guidance for creating HTML-based user interfaces and/or database driven pages.
- Coordinate search engine strategies across websites to drive traffic.
- Assist in the formulation of a production plan to generate large numbers of well-designed, well-optimized websites.
- Assist in the management of domain registrations, web hosting relationships, and traffic and conversion statistics for all company websites.
Qualifications
- 2-5 years as Project Lead or Project Manager
- 1-2 years as Web Developer
- Strong communication, organizational and time and project management skills are essential.
- Ability to multi-task, develop project schedules and budgets, and work in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment.
- Solid analytical skills to manage on-line marketing performance and search engine optimization experience.
- Understanding of relational database design and implementation of Web services
- Strong understanding of software application/web application functionality, browser scripting, navigation, usability and site architecture.
- Advanced knowledge of hand coding HTML (complex tables, frames, and forms), Adobe Photoshop, Dreamweaver, Fireworks, Adobe Imageready, and Visio preferred.
- Understanding of web design constraints and user interface design.
- Experience with Windows NT/2000, Unix, Java, JavaScript, ASP, SQL Server, Site Server, Visual Basic, DHTML, etc.
- Internet technologies such as FTP, HTTP, search engines, client/server side interaction and web/database interaction.
- Experience with e-commerce ideal.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business Administration or related field.
