This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced financial professional. The role of Controller is responsible for design, implementation, administration and operation of high value quality Finance programs, practices, and procedures. Develop programs and practices to identify developmental needs. Assists in the integration of complex business factors to develop and implement long term strategic Finance planning objectives and the policies and procedures needed to realize the objectives. Ensures adherence to applicable governmental regulations.
Works on complex problems where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of various factors. Exercises judgment within broadly defined practices and policies in selecting methods, techniques and evaluation criteria for obtaining results. Erroneous decisions will result in critical delay(s) in schedules and/or unit operations and may jeopardize overall business activities. Receives assignments in the form of objectives and establishes goals to meet objectives. Level of review dependent on nature of assignment. May manage activities of several departments through subordinate managers who exercise full supervision in terms of costs, methods, and employees.
Regularly interacts with senior management or executive levels on matters concerning several functional areas, divisions, and/or customers. Require the ability to change the thinking of or gain acceptance of others in sensitive situations.
Bachelor degree/equivalent; U.S. MBA preferred.
Minimum 8 years of relevant experience.
Experience with U.S. based Global company – ideally, with experience working at U.S. headquarters.
Strong organizational and planning skills.
Excellent presentation and influencing skills.
Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
Fluency in English and Korean. Working knowledge of at least one other Asian language would be advantageous.
Familiarity with Asian business practices.
High degree of integrity.
Willingness and flexibility to travel around Asia Pacific approx. 30% time.
Ability to thrive in a high-growth, fast-paced and demanding environment.
