PROFILE/BIO: Company is one of the largest manufacturers in their space. They provide quality materials to the architectural and installation professionnal. Metal fabrication.
SPECIFIC DUTIES, ACTIVITIES, AND RESPONSIBILITIES: They manufacture/distribute products through 5 manufacturing plants and 46 service centers nationwide. They do approx. $275 million revenue. The facility in Maryland is the smallest with approx. 60 employees. Reporting to the Director of Manufacturing, the Plant Manager will be responsible for all production issues plus the day-to-day plant operations.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
Lean Manufacturing experience is mandatory.....5S, JIT, Kanban, Single Piece Flow.
One of the main areas of focus will be implementing Lean Manufacturing......company is in the process of implementing Lean in all of their facilities. This is a wonderful opportunity for someone to implement Lean from the ground up!!
REPORTS TO: Director of Manufacturing
SUPERVISES: Employees, Operations
EDUCATION: 4 year degree
EXPERIENCE OR EQUIVALENT: 3+ years as Plant Manager in a high volume manufacturing environment OR 3+ years as an Assistant Plant Manager or as a Production Manager for a high volume manufacturing plant with 70+ employees.
