Area Sales Engineer in Guandong, China
Primarily, to work with the reseller/distributor's sales team to promote Standard Abrasives's Coated Abrasives Specialties and Non-Woven Products at the end-user level.
Provide Technical Support at the end-user level throughout its facility. Very important, up to 75% of time.
Personally cultivate, develop, and maintain contact with buying influences in key and target end-user accounts.
Review the reseller/distributor network through market analysis
Establish sales goals broken down by product line. Sales goals are developed with reseller/distributor's senior management through an agreed upon marketing plan. This person work with senior management at the reseller/distributor to ensure proper implementation of Standard Abrasives' defined goals.
Monitor and review with reseller/distributor management their performance vs. their sales and marketing plans in order for those resellers and distributors to meet and exceed sales goals.
Monitor and adjust reseller's inventory levels with requirements dictated by the market place in order to support the distribution channel and End-User needs.
The Sales Engineer will maintain a close working relationship with reseller principals and senior management in the territory.
Introduce all new products and promotions to his reseller/distributor network and End-Users.
Encourage industrial distributors to utilize local merchandising activities such as open house, and local trade shows, lending his own time and skill to their efforts. This will be done in conjunction with the reseller salesperson responsible for that distributorship.
Promote full use of product literature, displays, and direct mail pieces with distributors to increase user identification and sales.
Promote a professional company image with all contact, including resellers, distributors and end-users.
Responsible for the submission and or maintenance of:
- Salesman's Weekly Itinerary
- Six Week Swing Plan
- End-User Call Books
- New & Lost Business Reports
- Competitive Information
- Monthly Expense Report
Sales Engineer candidate should be a degreed engineer with approximately five yeas successful industrial sales experience; especially, in metal working markets.
Must be fluent in one or more Chinese dialects and the English language.
Compensation for this position will be at the current market rate and include salary and a performance incentive for growth.
Reports directly to the Director of Export and work closely with Administrative Manager of International Operations.
