Requirements
1) A Degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
2) Singaporean or Singapore PR preferred.
3) At least 4 - 6 years of IT working experience with at least 3 years of relevant experience on Systems Security in Windows NT, Windows 2000, Novell Netware, Unix OS and AS/400.
- Must be able to install, maintain and troubleshoot different brands of Firewalls and security products onto the abovementioned platforms.
- Have good working knowledge in Network security, Firewall Systems and VPN products like IDS, VPN, LDAP, PKI, SSL, IKE, TACACS, Radius, PAP, CHAP.
- Have good understanding of Systems/Network Security Policies settings and standards.
- Able to implement suitable Security policies and standards
- Audit experience will be beneficial
- Familiar with the latest developments in the IT security arena covering the whole spectrum of hardware and software on the PC, client/server and mainframe platform.
4) Good written, communication and inter-personal skills.
4) Experience in scripting: Unix shell scripting, SSH, WSH (Windows Script Host) and Perl Scripting.
5) Able to analyze and interpret the Firewall Logs and Systems statistics in graphical format.
6) Able to do OS hardening in operating systems such Windows NT, Sun Solaris, etc.
7) Have experience in evaluating latest security technology trends and wireless security and the impact on the future technology. He or she must well aware of all possible IT security threats.
8) Good exposure to Intrusion detection framework including Cyberguard, Checkpoint, Cisco PIX, NFR IDS, LANGuard.
9) Experience on the followings are beneficial:
PKI; Baltimore UniCERT software, Aphelion LDAP software, SureWare Keyper Pro Hardware Security Module (“HSM”); Gemplus smart tokens/cards; BMC Patrol software, ISS RealSecure Intrusion Detection System; WatchGuard; Gauntlet; RadGuard.
10) CISA, ISS, CISSP Certification is good to have but not necessary.
Job Duties
1) To evaluate and recommend new IT security products/solutions.
2) To advise management on new IT security policies and threats.
3) To monitor logs for security threats and virus attacks.
4) To create and maintain new user ids/accounts.
5) To support Application Developers and end-users on IT Security aspects.
6) To pro-actively monitor, pre-empt and rectify security related problems / loop-holes.
7) To assist in new project implementations.
8) To document new security procedures/setup.
