Educational Requirements:
Diploma, GCE 'A' / 'O' Level or ITE Grads (Degree and Fresh Degree Holders Need not apply)
Experience:
At least 1 to 2 years of relevant experience (especially those in NOC environment)
Skills:
- Must have experience in at least one or more of the following Network Management System like IBM Tivoli, BMC Patrol, and/or HP OpenView.
- Preferably with Unix and NT hands-on Knowledge.
- Those with IBM Mainframe, AS/400, VAX VMS, and/or Tandem knowledge are advantageous.
Basic Job Responsibility
Maintain and ensure that the day-to-day network operation run smoothly (Network Monitoring, Printing of Network Report, etc)
Do simple patching of UTP cables e.g., from either Router Ethernet port to Switch Ports, or from Patch Panel to Switch Ports.
Maintain a pool of IP addresses and the passwords of network devices.
Online monitoring and user support. Also perform duties like Batch Management, Files Copy and do some documentation.
Personal Qualities:
A keen learner with good working attitude and initiative. He/she must able to work efficiently and responsibly with minimum supervision.
Possess good inter-personal and communication skills.
Note:
Able to perform shift work.
