Requirements:
1) Degree in Computer Science (or equivalent) with at least 3 years of working experience on HP Server Systems (HP-UX). Logistic or Manufacturing experience will be beneficial.
2) Proficient in Unix Shell scripting. Other Unix experience is beneficial.
3) Experience in NT 4.0 and Win2K and/or networking technologies is an advantage.
4) Possess good problem solving skills.
5) Resourceful team player with good communication skills.
6) Strong tasks and time management skills.
7) Able to work independently with minimum supervision.
8) Singaporean and Singapore PR preferred.
9) Able to travel in the Asia Pacific region given short notice.
Job Duties:
1) To administer and maintain existing UNIX Systems (HP-UX Platform) and Application Servers.
2) To support new systems implementations.
3) To provide technical support to Application Developers and end-users.
4) To perform systems and database performance tuning, capacity planning and maintenance.
5) To pro-actively monitor, pre-empt, diagnose and rectify systems/network/database related problems.
6) To evaluate and recommend new releases and fix requirements
7) To carry out documentation for changes or new implementations
