Educational Requirements:
Diploma, GCE 'A' / 'O' Level or ITE Grads.
Experience:
At least 1 to 2 years of relevant experience.
Skills:
- Must have experience in at least one or more of the following Network Management System : IBM Tivoli, BMC Patrol, and/or HP OpenView.
- Experience in Networking devices like Cisco Routers, Switches and CheckPoint Firewall.
- Preferably with Unix and NT hands-on knowledge.
- Those with IBM Mainframe, AS/400, VAX VMS, and/or Tandem knowledge are advantageous.
Basic Job Responsibility
- Maintain and ensure that the day-to-day network operation run smoothly (Network Monitoring, Printing of Network Report, etc)
- Do simple patching of UTP cables e.g., from either Router Ethernet port to Switch Ports, or from Patch Panel to Switch Ports.
- Maintain a pool of IP addresses and the passwords of network devices.
- Online monitoring and user support. Also perform duties like Batch Management, Files Copy and do some documentation.
Personal Qualities:
A keen learner with good working attitude and initiative. You must able to work efficiently and responsibly with minimum supervision. You must also have good interpersonal and communication skills.
