Job Title: Sales Engineer
City: Whittier
Firmly established (14 years) infrastructure cabling installation contractor seeking an accomplished sales engineer with a proven track record in selling voice, data, and fiber optic connectivity (Cabling) and services to commercial and industrial firms.
Candidate must have a minimum of (3) year’s sales engineering and installation experience with one or more of the following:
* Voice, data, LAN and fiber optic cabling systems & standards (IEEE,
EIA/TIA standards).
* Ethernet, Token Ring, and ATM LAN standards.
* LAN/WAN operating systems.
* Network protocols (IP, IPX, etc.)
* Familiarity with frame relay, ATM, ISDN, DSL, etc.
* RCDD a plus.
Prospect, cold call, network with prospective customers. Perform site surveys, review blue prints, plans and other customer documents to develop and prepare cost estimates for project equipment and service requirements. Prepare quotations and proposals and negotiate sales and/or service contracts. Conduct pre and post installation walk throughs with customers and company project managers.
Salary is negotiable based on experience and proven pay scale records. Travel and expense accounts, cell phone, and medical benefits.
Note: This position is primarily sales of voice, data & fiber optic cabling installations for companies who have new construction, remodeling, adds, moves, changes and/or upgrade projects in mind. If you have a background in this field please contact us.
