Job Responsibilities


Technology Responsibilities:


To manage countrywide POS/EDC Network of 1600 terminals and to ensure timely resolution of POS related queries. Also help Technology and Telecom in the development of new projects for Merchants.

· Installation and service of Point-of-Sale (POS) terminals in Karachi as well as manage other POS related issues countrywide.
· To maintain and supervise Network Access Controller (NAC's) to support Merchant Establishment (ME) Acquisition through Point-of-Sale terminal.
· Install and supervise Electronic Data Capture (EDC) terminals at Merchant Sites.
· Responsible for the proper allocation of the Point of Sale terminal (POS) at merchant outlets countrywide.
· Recovery of POS terminal from inactive and closed merchant (Countrywide).
· Pursue complete documentation of all Corporate Audit and Compliance issues.
· Coordination with vendor for Purchasing and compliance of all Point-of-Sale terminals.
· Countrywide Management of Point-of-Sale terminal related stock and prepares monthly Point-of-Sale terminals MIS.

Payment Solution Business (Merchant Sales) Responsibilities:

· Monitoring of Merchants activities and investigation of fraud transaction.
· Analysis and review of Merchants floor limits.
· On-going review of Merchant performance and their termination process.
· Preparation of Merchant Probability Reports.
· Hands on experience of Cardpac - System of Bankcards.
· Prepare merchant MIS on the basis of Point-of-Sale report and present business on monthly basis.
· Coordinating with servicing and signing teams to ensure complete market coverage.
· Signing new Merchants and re-education of existing Merchants.
· Provide assistance to the Merchants and Card Members to resolve problems/queries.
· Coordination with Credit Initiation Unit to ensure that the Merchant Account is ready within the specified turn around time.
· Coordination with Fraud Management Unit in order to reduce fraud activities by conducting seminars on frauds, to top profile merchants. Also helping to recover the funds from the merchants who had conducted fraudulent transaction on credit cards.
· Coordination with Charge Back Unit in order to stream line processes for EDC merchants and also recover the funds from those merchants who were charged back by the bank.
· Coordination with Citiphone Banking and Customer Services to re-educate merchants involved in suppression and surcharging.
· Carry out mystery shopping at outlets, which are involved in incidences like Suppression and Surcharging.
· Market Development outside Karachi, whereby I have POS Installed merchants in Hyderabad & Quetta.
· Place Utility has been created for card members by booking merchants in every possible segment.
· Also Possession Utility has been created, so through just one swipe on the electronic machine, the card members can walk away with the goods.
· Product Positioning of the brand by targeting the right segment ensuring the presence of the credit cards in that particular segment, meaning the maximum usage of the same.

· First ever launch Citibank Pakistan Payment Gateway for Merchants. My project responsibilities are Coordination with OLA (Online Authorization) checking of transactions behavior on payment, which is part of UAT (User Acceptance Test). Coordination with Technology and CSP (Commerce Service Provider) to develop the local software. Also coordination with Operation to see review files are properly generated payment to Merchants is error free.
· First ever launch Citibank Pakistan Direct Debit/Bulk Payment Processing (BPP) is the software application used to process Credit card payments send by Merchants to Citibank on recurring basis.
