Requirements :
1) At least 5 years of IT working experience.
2) Chinese Speaking (Locals or Foreigners).
3) Oracle and/or MS SQL Server 7/2000 DBA experience.
4) Experience supporting HP-UX version 11, Sun Solaris, MS Windows 2000 Server/Advance Server.
5) Experience installing Intel based/Unix based Servers.
6) Knowledge on desktop support: Windows 95/98/NT.
7) Knowledgeable on ArcServer Backup Software, Firewall, Internet Security, Web Server, DNS, Lotus Notes client/server.
8) Good inter-personal and communication skills.
Job Duties :
1) To administer and maintain existing Oracle and/or MS SQL Servers.
2) To provide technical support to Application Developers and end-users.
3) To perform database and systems (Unix /NT) performance tuning and capacity planning.
4) To pro-actively monitor, pre-empt, diagnose and rectify database/systems related problems.
5) To evaluate and recommend new releases and fix requirements.
6) To install and configure new systems (Hardware & Software).
7) To carry out documentation for changes or new implementations.
