Alliance to Save Energy
Bangkok, Thailand
The Alliance to Save Energy is seeking a Program Associate for its Energy Efficiency Industry Partnership Program in Thailand. The Program Associate, to be located in Bangkok, will report to the Alliance’s Program Manager for Thailand in Washington, DC. Her/his primary role will be to lead and support a newly formed group of energy efficiency companies in Thailand to ensure its long-term viability and self-sufficiency.
Specific activities of the Program Associate include:
-Convening regular meetings of the group (including Board meetings) to identify and discuss issues of concern/importance;
-Organizing conferences, seminars, study tours and other events;
-Researching and preparing articles and position statements on various energy efficiency topics;
-Representing the group at meetings, conferences, seminars, and symposia convened by USAID, other relevant government agencies, multilateral banks, or private industry;
-Identifying and obtaining funding for activities from Thai and international foundations and government agencies;
-Ensuring timely preparation of project requirements such as quarterly reports, invoice and reimbursement requests, sub-contracting to in-country partners, proposal writing, and budget tracking.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
-Thai national;
-Advanced degree in technical or policy-related field, or equivalent combination of education and work experience;
-Project management experience and/or ability, including budget oversight
-Ability to work independently as well as with a team;
-Excellent organizational, oral, and written communication skills;
-Proficient in Word and Excel (database experience highly useful);
-Proficiency in both English and Thai;
-Experience in field related to energy and/or energy efficiency a plus;
Salary/Benefits: Salary commensurate with experience.
