Immediate contract openings (6 months or longer) by Major IT Vendor.
Requirements
1) A Degree in Computer Science or equivalent
2) At least 4 years of experience in enterprise LAN/WAN environment
3) Proficient in setting up and configuration of Win 2000 Server (especially Active Directory), Win NT Server and MS Exchange 2000 Server.
4) Knowledge of Citrix Metaframe is crucial
5) VPN, Firewalls, Routers & switches, Veritas Backup Exec and Win NT/Win 2000 clustering will be beneficial.
6) Good inter-personal and communication skills
7) Able to pick up new technologies within a short period and adopt to rapid change of environment
8) Willing to work long hours when required to resolve technical problems in a customer setting
Job Duties
1) Backup Operations
2) To carry out LAN/WAN administration, network and systems management.
3) To carry out server consolidation works
4) To carry out systems upgrades or installations
5) To perform systems and network performance tuning and capacity planning.
6) To pro-actively monitor, pre-empt, diagnose and rectify systems related problems.
