SAFETY OFFICER for Gemini Observatory. Responsible for developing and implementing safety program, classroom/worksite training, accident investigation, workers comp., safety inspection/audit, job hazard analysis, and maintenance/distribution of MSDS information. Knowledge of OSHA/HIOSH/hazardous material handling regulations required; Engineering/Environmental Science degree and completion of OSHA-sanctioned training course preferred. 5 yrs. field construction exp; minimum 1 yr. as Safety Officer/Coordinator; CPR/first aid and First Responder/AED training, excellent communication, presentation and interpersonal skills; proficiency in computer software programs and multimedia equipment; Must possess or be able to obtain a passport and have good driving record with ability to drive 4-W vehicle.
