Requirements
1) A Degree in Computer Science or equivalent
2) At least 3 years of relevant experience in Enterprise/Regional network environment. Strong technical skills in managing large numbers of NT and/or Novell Netware Servers. Those with at least 5 years of relevant experience will be considered for a senior position.
3) Experience in managing VPN, Firewalls, Routers & switches.
4) Hands-on experience on major Hardware brands (eg. Compaq, IBM, HP and /or Dell Servers)
5) MCSE and/or CCNA (others like MCP, CNA, CNE, CCDP, CCNP or CLP will be bonus).
6) IIS, Iplanet, Lotus Notes, SQL Server and/or Unix experience will be beneficial.
7) Good inter-personal and communication skills
8) Able to pick up new technologies within a short period and adopt to rapid change of environment
9) Strong tasks and time management skills
10) Able to work independently with minimum supervision
Job Duties
1) To provide technical support to end-user (3rd level PC Support)
2) To carry out LAN/WAN administration, network and systems management.
3) To perform systems and network performance tuning and capacity planning.
4) To pro-actively monitor , pre-empt, diagnose and rectify network related problems.
5) Management of Network IDs
6) Backup Operations
7) Evaluation and recommendation of network tools and products
8) Documentation for above tasks as when necessary
