1. EDP Systems Analyst I (Ref. No. 1435)
DESCRIPTION OF WORK:
The Candidate will be required to establish user requirements, develop and test GIS applications based on the defined user requirements and prepare required documentation, including both program-level and user-level documentation. These applications will be developed using ESRI products such as ArcView Avenue programming language.
SKILLS REQUIRED AND ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS:
A Bachelor's degree in GIS/Computer Science/Information Systems or related discipline is required. The position requires a minimum of 7 years general experience in IT applications design and delivery, of which at least 3 years must be specialized in the design and implementation of GIS applications utilizing ESRI application software and programming environments. Proven ability to work independently or under general direction on complex application problems involving all phases of system analysis is required. Demonstrates strong inter-personal and communications skills. Experienced in dealing with business users in all levels within an organization.
2. EDP App/Sys Spec (S) Ref. # 1448
DESCRIPTION OF WORK:
The candidates will be required to design, implement and manage image processing and image distribution for service to centralized corporate GIS which requires the integration of geospatial imagery from large volumes of existing archives of aerial photography, satellite imagery, and terrain data. The successful candidate will also conduct raster based project management as requested by proponents. The centralized corporate GIS are developed using ESRI products such as SDE.
SKILLS REQUIRED AND ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS:
A Bachelor's degree in GIS/Computer Science/Information Systems or related discipline is required. The position requires a minimum of 10 years experience in the management of geospatial data, GIS design, knowledge of remote sensing and programmetric principles & extensive experience in managing all aspects of a corporate image center, of which at least 3 years must be specialized in the storage, maintenance and distribution of large volume image data sets within a large corporate environment. Experience and superior knowledge of the following processes; image format and projection translation, image georeferencing and orthorectification, radiometric correction & mosaicking, analysis of terrain data, compression, storage, indexing and retrieve mechanism for large volume image databases, statistical analysis & feature extraction using multispectral data, ArcInfo, ArcGrid, ArcView, Spatial Analyst, 3D Analyst, ER Mapper, Plus ESRI's Spatial Database Engine (SDE).
