Established in 1998 and consistently rated as Australia’s premier spa, Spa Chakra is renowned for its five star delivery of therapeutic and healing treatments. After 6 months as an Assistant Manager for Spa Chakra in Sydney, I was appointed as Project Manager for the opening of a new Spa in Terrigal. With this task I was responsible for the recruitment and training of new team. Also the set up and the organization of standards and procedures of the new establishment in order to achieve successfully plan and targets, including building a team, clientele and retail trends.

My role as Assistant Manager also encompasses responsibility for the hotel’s Executive Floor. I have been instrumental in setting up policies and procedures that have increased productivity while enhancing the guest’s experience.
My role also allows me the opportunity to be involved in all facets of the Front Office, including Interviewing of potential new employees, training and active involvement in formulating Profit Budgets and Forecasts.
My major achievements over my last 12 months here have been lifting the department’s moral, which has improved productivity and reduced sick leave, while making the department a much more enjoyable place to be.
