Building a water distribution network, using legacy maps and updated digital landbase data. Water distribution pipelines and its associated fittings were digitised. Pipelines were classified based on their diameter and the type of fitting associated with it. – Basic digitisation in AutoCAD, exportable into SmallWorld GIS
Mountain Parks Electric / New Hampshire Electric, USA – Electrical Circuit Network
Building of the electrical circuit network, right from the sub-station to the individual customer locations, using AutoCAD Data Extension (ADE). Inputs provided were GPS pole locations with pole top assembly details. Based on electrical phases, the type of conductors used and the pole top assembly details, the electrical network was logically built and attributed.
Hein Gas, Germany - Cadastral and Gas Network Mapping
Parcel mapping using MicroStation and addition of gas distribution network into the landbase information system. The gas distribution network was classified based on the attributes of their pipelines and its associated fittings
Electromark, Germany – Electrical Network Mapping
The electrical network data was built on a combination of both raster and vector information. Most of the landbase features were used as raster data, while the electrical network details and other such features were vectorized. This project required the use of MicroStation J software along with Descartes image handling package.
RIL – IKONOS Project – Landbase information System
Creation of city maps for various cities in India using 1 m resolution IKONOS satellite imagery. Image interpretation skills and techniques were used while capturing landbase information from the images. Feature based coding, unique id assignment and topology checks were carried out. – Basic digitisation in AutoCAD Map.
