JOB PROFILE :
a) Am solely responsible for designing a web page using html and Microsoft Front page for the physics department.
The job involves System and Network administration. System administration involves
System monitoring, system updating, checking the file system, installation and configuration of software and different operating systems like Linux, Solaris 8. Configuration of mailing system in our department. Adminstrating Compaq Server HPC 160, installing qmail on servers. Setting up the NIS server and DNS server on linux machines .
b) Worked as a software engineer in IIT from Dec 4th 2000 to May 30th 2001at under the consultancy project of KRESIT (Kanwal Rekhi School of Information technology). Am solely responsible for designing a web page using HTML for different network simulation protocols. I used PICO editor for a file creation. Have used different DHTML tags and coded with javascript.
Projects :
a)Online Shopping using java as a part of MCA curriculum.
This project comprises virtual shopping. Using Java as a front end and the back end as Oracle 7.3/Dev 2000.
This deals with client side and server side databases. The database is stored on server side as soon as a request comes from a customer automatically the data on the server side gets updates automatically and the transaction takes place. The transaction includes data updation, data deleting and data adding. This project also involves report generating, and screen outputs.
