Quality Assurance Engineer - This position is responsible for quality assurance technical inspection, analysis of failures, troubleshooting factory quality problems, external quality auditing, vendor audits, maintaining quality records, procedures, and compliance to quality registrations.
MATERIALS/PRODUCTION/MANUFACTURING
>Works with Design Engineering on proper testing, evaluation, and documentation of new and/or upgraded products
>Reviews/approves Manufacturing Assembly Instructions for QA aspects
>Designs and implements test or fixtures for testing parts or materials
>Involved in vendor source inspections and selections
>Works with Director of Quality on vendor ratings and will audit vendors as needed
ADMINISTRATION
>Maintains a positive attitude towards internal and external customers, your job, co-workers and company
>Demonstrates an attitude and actions such as executing, overseeing and follow-up that takes 100% responsibility for this job description and/or all other work that is either assigned or ends up as part of one's daily activities until that work is satisfactorily resolved.
>Trains department members on current company policies and procedures, including EMC QA Policy and Procedure Manuals, contributor handbook and departmental work instructions
>Develops and maintains a sense of teamwork and pride
>Writes or revises procedures and work instructions
>Performs internal audits
QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE/OTHER DEMANDS
>Bachelor's Degree in a related field (Quality, Mechanical Engineering)
>Certified Quality Engineer preferred
>Three years experience in Quality Assurance organization associated with the manufacturing of electromechanical devices
>Must be computer literate with proficiency in database, word processing, spreadsheet, and CAD software packages
>Effective communicator, both written and verbal
>Knowledge of FDA/ISO regulations
>Direct experience in FDA/ISO environment preferred
>Must be willing to travel and work in China
>Must speak, read and write English and Mandarin
>Must be willing to travel. This position is responsible for providing quality assurance at three locations in China (one in Changchou, Fujian Province, and two in Guangdong Province), and one in Taiwan.
