Responsibilities:
In this position you will be the primary point of contact responsible for developing key partnerships for accessory products and memory cards manufactured in Asia. You will manage the development of a competitive supply base for high volume accessory products and memory cards along with managing key component technology suppliers (i.e. USB, 802.11a/b/g, BlueTooth, etc.). Some product/technology knowledge of these key, enabling technologies is a plus. You will assist in negotiating major corporate agreements, defining the relationships between SanDisk and its key suppliers. You will collaborate with the SanDisk Corporate NPI Teams regarding new product introductions. You will aggressively drive cost reduction and lead-time reduction programs, capacity expansion and quality improvement programs. You will compile and analyze supplier quality/price/performance data and product information and provide information on emerging industry standards/trends.
Education:
This position requires a Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university.
Requirements:
This position requires 7 to 10 years experience in the electronics industry including specific experience in procurement/supply base management. Specific experience in required in developing procurement strategies, industry risk assessment, and conducting major negotiation for the business. You must possess a demonstrated ability to interface with top executives, senior executives and senior level management, both internally and externally. Demonstrated project management skills and excellent written and verbal communication skills are required. Knowledge of electronics manufacturing processes and industry drivers are essential - specific experience with memory card accessory products (i.e. readers, adapters, etc.) is a plus. Familiarity with key industry players and their executives is important. Strong knowledge of cost accounting financial analysis is a significant plus. Knowledge of ERP systems is essential. Excellent written and oral bilingual communication skills are required.
