BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT MANAGER
OEM / ODM SOURCED PRODUCTS
Job Responsibilities
· Investigate new revenue producing opportunities for Corporation, including purchased and licensed products that capture, share and store digital information in the personal computer or personal electronics industry. Regularly update senior management on opportunities and status.
· Develop contract negotiation strategies that are consistent with Corporation guidelines to minimize inventory risk while maintaining delivery flexibility at forward pricing terms. Conduct negotiations and document results in signed agreements using corporate contracting group for support.
· Develop and manage the business development process to ensure an efficient decision-making process, strong communication, cross-functional “buy-in” of opportunities and successful integration into approved business plans.
· Conduct market needs validation for product feature / functionality, familiarity with world class product costs and OEM manufacturers, product positioning, pricing, revenue forecasting, and go-to-marketing strategy
· Demonstrated experience identifying product opportunities, locating and qualifying potential suppliers, managing product launch activities, coordinating with core team in USA and manage product life cycle.
· Make appropriate business contacts, effectively position the company, and build and maintain long-term strategic relationships.
· Establish remote business office and coordinate business activities of purchasing, supplier quality and program management functions with headquarters office.
· Travel schedule up to two weeks per month.
Reporting Relationship: Reporting to Vice President – Product Marketing in San Diego, CA
Skills and experience:
BSEE or equivalent with MBA preferred
10+ year’s of Business Development experience in personal computer, personal electronics or data storage industry.
Extensive experience, technical knowledge, and recent contacts within the personal computer, personal electronics or data storage industry are required
Excellent communication skills – Written, Presentation, Speaking and Listening
Fluent in Mandarin Chinese and English (speaking, reading and writing)
