Looking for individuals with 4-5 years experience in materials management/business background, possibly working in tactical purchasing today looking to move to strategic sourcing for positions in Shanghai:
This Sourcing department selects, negotiates, and manages supplier relationships for our Automotive
Electronics Systems Sector. The department supports design centers in Chicago and Europe, and manufacturing locations in Texas, New York, Mexico,
England, France, and China.
Strategic Sourcing and Supply Base Management expectations:
1. Lead Commodity Team to work in Conjunction with Design and Program Teams to ensure Cost Effective Material Architecture
2. Select Suppliers for New Products
3. Interface with Design and Technology on Commodity Technology Roadmaps and New Product Concepts
4. Implement Cost Modeling
5. Lead Supplier Negotiations / Contract Agreements, and Define Market Share
6. Set and Publish Supplier Ratings/Commodity Strategy
Specific Knowledge
BS or BA in Business is a prerequisite, 4-5
years in Supply Management preferred (purchasing, sourcing, logistics),
Formal Negotiation Training preferred, MBA plus, Ablity to use Database Software (ACCESS, Brio Query, etc.)
