MIPS Technologies has a newly created position in its Taiwan office for a
Solutions Architect/FAE. This engineer will work closely with business
development and sales personnel in a team to close license agreements for
MIPS. The Solutions Architect will be the key technical point of contact for
the customer/prospect. Responsibilities include establishing close
relationships with the customer's technical people (CTOs and VPs of
Engineering to design engineers), working with MIPS engineering and
marketing to develop technical expertise in MIPS products (CPU cores and
System Solution Architecture), performing benchmarks for customers, and
performing competitive analyses. This engineer will also support customers
in answering technical questions regarding implementing MIPS cores in an SOC
(System on chip), and related embedded software issues.
This person will be based in Taipei and travel to China frequently for
business development and customer support. He/She must be fluent in both
Mandarin and English.
This position requires a BSEE/MSEE or equivalent, plus 8 or more years of
experience in the microprocessor industry as a design engineer, application
engineer, or FAE. The successful candidate will have excellent communication
and presentation skills and be a team player that is good with customers.
This position requires in depth understanding and experience with CPU
hardware and embedded software environments (RTOS, device driver and
application protocols).
