We are recruiting English teachers. We are a k-9 private school located in a prestigious residential area in Taipei city. The school was founded 46 years ago. The English language teaching has been part of the school program for many years. Last year we started to focus more on ESL program. The English language is intergraded into different subject teaching other than Chinese language. We hired more native English speaking teachers. As the growth and development of the ESL program, we need more teachers for the coming year and thereafter. We are now looking for experienced ESL/EFL native English speaking teachers for school year 2002-2003. The following are the job information:
Job opening – PRESCHOOL, KINDERGARTEN, AND ELEMENTARY LEVEL TEACHERS
School year – September through June ( report to work 2 weeks prior to school starts)
School hours – 7:30 to 5:00
School days – Monday through Friday
Summer time – July through August
Contract period – September through June
Pay- NT$50,000.00 to 60,000.00 per month
Pay day –the 5th of each month
Summer school – 4 to 5 weeks.
Summer job – application available depends on the sufficient enrollment of summer school
Summer pay – depends on the length of the summer session
School benefit : medical insurance, paid legal holidays, annual evaluation bonus – NT$15,000.00 – NT$20,000.00 bonus pay during Chinese lunar new year in the second year of employment
Renewal of contract – depends upon mutual renewed agreement and job performance evaluation
Contract violation penalty – NT$60,000.00
Basic job description and responsibilities are as below:
You are required to teach, to be on duty on campus between the above said time, to be available for school related activities as needed or special meetings, to accept discipline responsibility outside of classroom as well as in the classroom, to share in student supervision or other similar duties, to attend all regularly scheduled meetings before and after school, to attend all school functions, to use your best efforts at all times to promote the good will of the school.
