The Application Engineer will work with Taiwanese design engineers to plan, execute, and debug the functionality of the company's products. Conduct product demonstrations at customer facilities. Provide assistance to customers; research and answer customers' question, review customer's schematics and layout for accuracy; troubleshoot customer's systems issues. Convey messages with high technical content to the customer through written documents, telephone, fax, email or customer site visits. Work together with Austin's factory applications organization to resolve problems. Track applications issues for timely response to action items. Extended stay travel required 2 to 4 times per year between Taiwan and Austin for quality training. Home base will be Taiwan, therefore this person needs to be authorized to work there already.
Experience:
Candidate must have fundamental engineering background including good knowledge of DSP and analog/mixed signal circuits in addition to understanding of networking and LAN protocols. Candidates must also have excellent interpersonal, strong written and verbal skills in Mandarin and English. Chinese is a plus.
Education:
BSEE (MSEE Preferred) with 3 years or more of work experience in semiconductor applications engineering.
