Responsibilities:
Develop, characterize, qualify, release to production, & maintain Data Transmission IC's targeted at RS-485 & LVDS applications
The IC Test Engineer is responsible for defining, acquiring or developing & implementing all ATE (Automated Test Equipment) test hardware & software necessary to test each device to specified requirements in both wafer & packaged form
Develop technical understanding of device operation
Define methods that will be used to test or guarantee each parameter specified in device data sheet
Develop schedules for completing test development work
Report progress & solicit feedback in weekly team meetings
Work with internal/external suppliers to design & procure device specific probe & final test interface hardware PCB's, Probe Cards, etc)
Write & debug characterization, qualification, & production test programs for wafer & packaged devices
Work in a team to solve common problems & develop new methods of testing technically difficult parameters
Support off load of developed testware to worldwide production facilities & production engineering organizations Ability & willingness to work in team environment
Skills required:
Demonstrated problem solving & organizational skills
Programming experience, PC & UNIX skills
Solid understanding of fundamental circuit analysis
Thorough understanding of entire IC test development flow (test specification, ATE interface HW/SW design, debug & release)
Fundamental u/standing of semiconductor processing
Detailed knowledge of Interface device & applications principles
Understanding & experience on one or more ATE IC test platforms (Teradyne A580, LTX Fusion, Impact, etc)
Expertise on tester characterization (HW design/debug, Automated Tester Equipment use)
Knowledge of statistical characterization. Experience with Mixed Signal IC devices. SPC, DOE, or other statistical characterization knowledge, ATE exp.
