Responsibilities:
Provide solutions development of ASIC technology for Mass Storage Systems: including Hard Disk Drive (HDD) & removable Storage Products (RSP)
Will work closely with Customer Design Centers, customer development engineers, technical sales, marketing engineers & ASIC Product Development to develop & present best ASIC solution to the customer
Will also be responsible in an ongoing effort to continuously improve ASIC's product offering to the Mass Storage Market
Understand customer requirements, provide differentiated solutions
Manage technical issues for ASIC RFQs (request for quotes)
Assist with tactical cell definition & schedule
Present TI ASIC product offering to customers. Communicate product requirements to internal product development team
Write application notes
Some travel may be required
Skills required:
Excellent interpersonal skills, teamwork, knowledge of ASIC design flow methodology & tools, system level experience, knowledge of HDD & RSP systems
Understanding of TIDSS (ASIC) flow, standard cell products, tactical cell flow, & HDD interfaces such as ATA, SCSI, & 1394
System/IC design ; application experience
Microcontroller design experience
Design for Test techniques, System/IC Project Management.
