Responsibilities:
New product definition through release to market of mixed-signal Hardware Monitoring & Control products
Provide technical definition & team direction for next-generation IC's targeting Hardware Monitoring & Control functions, including temperature monitoring, voltage monitoring & control, motor drive & RPM control
Leads customer technical interface to understand device functionality & parametric performance needs based on system requirement
Participates in industry standards forums & tradeshows. Works with IC designers during design phase to identify trade-offs between spec requirements & customer needs during validation & design execution
Evaluates system-level performance with new IC products
Authors product previews, data manuals, data sheets, & application notes
Provide design of evaluation circuitry/EVMs to demonstrate new products to prospective new customers.
Skills required:
Some travel required
Mixed-signal system architecture design
Ability to interpret specifications & understand system-level schematics
Development of IC specifications
Experience in switching power conversion/control design & analysis
Familiarity with motors & motor control
System-level trouble-shooting/use of lab equipment
Proficient in use of PC software for technical documentation (Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Visio, AutoCAD, etc)
Skilled in customer communication
Generating & giving technical presentations
Team player/leader with excellent verbal & written communication skills
Willingness to travel
Design of test/evaluation circuitry & PCBs to demonstrate products (EVMs) & definition of Windows-based EVM software
Understanding of PC internal communication buses (SMBus, LPC, PCI)
Strong interpersonal skills; able to work independently & with a team; able to manage multiple projects concurrently
Familiarity with generation of Windows DLLs/drivers
Familiarity with generation of Windows application software/Visual C++ tools
