Responsibilities:
Facilitate introduction of TI IEEE-1394 serial bus link-layer & physical layer controllers
Products are targeted for PC, PC peripherals & consumer applications
Design, implement & support system boards for 1394 bus products. System boards consist of validation boards, customer evaluation boards & reference designs
Perform device & system-level verification of bus products
Interface with cross-functional teams to define system platforms for 1394 bus products
Develop test plans & board specifications
Capture schematics & work with external design houses to implement designs
Work closely with software engineers to create device verification & demonstration suites
Provide technical expertise to 1394 Application teams
. Skills required:
Experience in hardware/software design at system level
Knowledge of digital & analog IC devices & design methodologies
Experience with microprocessor & microcontroller system design & interface
Good problem-solving & communication skills
Beneficial skills: embedded system design & ICE debugging; cPLD, FPGA, VHDL design exp. RTOS & DSP experience, Knowledge of 1394 bus protocols, OSI layers, basic 1394 software stack & its operation
In-depth understanding of TI 1394 link & phy products, including external system architectures & internal device operation.
