Responsibilities:
Provide hardware & software solutions for Bus Solutions Group
Design, layout, characterize & release specific ASIC cells as required by designs carried on by various design groups in Bus Solutions group
Work with ASIC interface Program Manager & other members of design teams optimize new cell development strategy
Design ASIC digital & mixed signal cells
Designer is responsible for customer interface, functional & timing spec's, transistor level circuit design, layout, verification, characterization, & release of cells into ASIC libraries
Designs include special requirement I/O's (PCI, 1394, USB, CardBus, among others), & ASIC core cells, such as clock monitors, comparators, PLLs, high speed flip-flops & controls
. Skills required:
CMOS digital IC design
SPICE simulation
Cadence or Mentor schematic capture & IC layout tools
ASIC design flow using Mentor or Cadence design environment, ASIC verification & characterization tools
Analog design techniques, PERL, C++, programming
Good communication & customer interface skills
