Responsibilities:
Provide hardware & software solutions for 1394 link layer controllers
Provide Verilog simulation & design expertise that support wide range of 1394 products
Work with other members of design team to create test bench stimulus files for product base
Develop functional test bench procedures to exercise device's features & also achieving high fault coverage
Create first to market devices of advanced bus functions using top-down HDL methodology
Primary duty is defining & writing top level device functions & test procedures using top-down ASIC design methodology with emphasis on cycle-time in team atmosphere
Other duties include test tool evaluation & integration into main stream product/design flow
Skills required:
Knowledge of VHDL or Verilog coding
Proficient in test bench design.
Proficient in top-down design methodology
Knowledge of IEEE 1394, PCI & Micro controllers is helpful
Ability to work in team atmosphere is essentia
Intimate knowledge of IEEE-1394.
Mentor ModelSim, Cadence Verilog, Third party test tools, TDL generation, Fault Coverage, TIDSS design flow.
