Major Areas of Responsibilities
Handle projects at the systems, architecture and technology level rather than component level
Involvement in the pre-sales stage in selling selected solution/service offerings; this may also include requirements gathering, relating solution features and benefits to customer’s business and technical requirements, conceptualization of solution integration, providing consultancy advice as well as scoping of implementation efforts and Bill of Material.
Oversee the implementation of proposed solution to ensure that they are in line with the original conceptualization
Provide recommendations on improvements of the existing consulting practices or framework to the Principal Consultant or PS Manager
Specialize in a few technology areas with enough depth to perform the above; and at the same time contribute actively in sharing knowledge with other consultants so that an effective consulting practice that has both width and depth of knowledge can be established
Examples of consulting work may include:
Offer advisory services to our customer for their field of expertise on the technical platform or architecture to be implemented given the functional specifications
Advise and recommend to clients the type of hardware and software to acquire based on their requirements
Specify the technical design/architecture of the proposed solution
Code, test and implement the proposed solution
Train users on how to operate the solution implemented
Write quality reports or procedures guides for the clients
Present technical recommendations to clients
Prepare technical elements or proposals
Qualification & Experience
Diploma/Degree in IT or related field with min. 3 years experience in the IT/networking industry. Candidates with more years of experience will be hired at a more senior level.
Key requirement is experience in Cisco network infrastructure.
Have experience in either of the following functions; network design and architecture, technical and marketing consulting, network engineering with hands-on configuration skills.
Pre-sales experience preferred.
Advanced Technical Writing Skills.
Technical Consultative Skills.
Presentation Skills.
Consultative Selling Skills.
Project Management.
CCNP, MCSE2K and/or CISA preferred.
