Requirements :
1) A Degree or Diploma in Computer Science or its equivalent.
2) At least 4 - 6 years experience in Oracle database administration and technical support on Unix environment.
3) Must have hands-on experience on administration and support of Oracle ERP Applications Version 11i. Experience in Manufacturing environment preferred.
4) Strong in SQL & PL/SQL and well-versed in Oracle utilities like SQL*Plus, Export, Import, SQL*Loader.
5) Hands-on experience on Capacity Planning, Performance Tuning and Migration of Enterprise databases.
6) Must be able to conceptualize and implement Security Policies and Space Management.
7) Experience in Formulation and Implementation of a Backup and Recovery Strategy.
8) Experience in Unix Administration and Shell Scripting preferred.
9) Good communication and inter-personal skills.
10) Pro-active and resourceful.
11) Able to work in a team as well as independently.
12) Chinese speaking preferred
Job Duties :
1) To administer, support and maintain existing Oracle ERP Applications RDBMS (and be on standby on a 24 hours x 7 days rotational basis).
2) To support new systems implementations on project basis.
3) To provide technical support to Application Developers and end-users.
4) To perform database and systems performance tuning, capacity planning and database maintenance.
5) To pro-actively monitor, pre-empt, diagnose and rectify database/systems related problems.
6) To evaluate and recommend new releases and fix requirements.
7) To carry out documentation for changes or new implementations.
