Requirements :
1) Degree in Computer Science (or equivalent) with at least 3 to 5 years of working experience on IBM AIX or Enterprise Sun Solaris Systems (E3000, E6500, E10K, Clustering). Banking or Telco experience will be beneficial. Those with more than 8 years of Sun Solaris experience will be considered for a team leader role.
2) Proficient in Unix Shell and Perl scripting. Other Unix experience is beneficial.
3) Experience in Websphere, Iplanet and/or WebLogic will be beneficial.
4) Experience in RDBMS, NT and/or networking technologies.
5) Possess good project management and problem solving skills.
6) Resourceful team player with good communication skills
7) Strong tasks and time management skills
8) Able to work independently with minimum supervision
9) AIX or Sun Solaris certifications preferred.
Job Duties :
1) To administer and maintain existing Enterprise Unix Systems and Application Servers.
2) To support new systems implementations.
3) To provide technical support to Application Developers and end-users.
4) To perform systems performance tuning, capacity planning and maintenance.
5) To pro-actively monitor, pre-empt, diagnose and rectify systems/network/database related problems.
6) To evaluate and recommend new releases and fix requirements
7) To carry out documentation for changes or new implementations
