Requirements
1) A Degree in Computer Science or equivalent
2) At least 5 years of experience in enterprise LAN/WAN environment
3) Proficient in setting up and configuration of MS 2000 Advance/Standard Server (especially Active Directory), MS Exchange 2000 Server, MS SQL 2000 Server and SMS.
4) Experience in MS Operations Manager and/or BMC Patrol / Tivoli.
5) Experience in Reuters’ Tibco Hawk will be advantageous.
6) Hands-on experience on major Hardware brands (eg. Rack Mount Compaq and IBM Servers).
7) Posses MCSE 2000 and/or CCNA.
8) Knowledge of Citrix Metaframe is beneficial.
9) Visual Basic, VB Scripting or middleware programming experience will be beneficial.
10) Good leadership skills.
11) Good inter-personal and communication skills
12) Able to pick up new technologies within a short period and adopt to rapid change of environment
13) Strong tasks and time management skills
14) Able to work independently with minimum supervision
Job Duties :
1) To provide post implementation technical support to developers/users.
2) To administrate/manage the W2K environment that are made of over 80+ servers, such as Print, File and Application servers (including Sun Solaris Servers).
3) To perform change management request, carry out systems upgrades and/or installations (assist in rollout of new servers and desktops).
4) To perform systems performance tuning and capacity planning.
5) To pro-actively monitor, pre-empt, diagnose and rectify systems related problems.
6) To carry out server maintenance works.
7) To assists in new project implementations.
8) To manage users/vendors/partners and ensure the system delivery meets business specifications.
