Our client started business in 1986 and is rapidly growing globally. They are known as a leader in e-commerce and computer telephony solutions to improve customer loyalty and to reduce costs. They were first in fax on demand and lead in unified messaging, voice response and speech recognition software, database access over the phone, call routing to web sites and call centres, web call-back, e-mail analysing and web collaboration.
A career with this company will see you working in the most prestigious customer sites in Australia and across the globe. Customer implementations are long, exciting and ever changing with new release implementations. In addition, with the company soon going public there could be a small fortune to be made in stock options.You first three months are going to be hectic.
You will immediately accompany an expert on a large site installing or upgrading so that you learn the application. Training will be intense and you hours may fluctuate as many mission critical installs happen out of office hours. The programming is exciting as it is a mission critical application and you are likely to also be working on the source code.You may decide that you want further training and if so you could be sent to the UK office of 8 intensive weeks of training and working with the team.
*Essiential Criteria* You must either be an Australian resident or hold permenant residency. Also You must be fluent in either Chinese or Japanese.
For the right person this is an experience of a lifetime. If you want to travel all over the planet you can or even move to the UK or the US.
Your IT skills are broad with an emphasis on C and Web development tools such as HTML, Java, Java Beans, XML as well as some Perl scripting. The platform skills necessary will be on AIX or perhaps Linux, Sun Solaris or HP-UX. Any experience with CTI or PABX systems would be a definite advantage.
Interpersonally, you enjoy working on site with large customers and solving mission critical issues. You are flexible in terms of hours and travel and want to learn. You also have a drivers licence.
The salary range is broad and dependent on your skill set. However, a range of 60-100K OTE should be used as a guide.
