Defining content strategy of websites, the Web Editor will be responsible for commissioning new articles, selecting illustrations and editing individual pieces for all in-house websites. Working closely with the Webmaster and design staff, the individual has to ensure smooth flow of content from creation to production as well as supervise and motivate editorial and visual content support staff. The Web Editor has to negotiate contracts with and manage freelance writers. To this end, the Editor has to develop and manage a review process to ensure quality of freelance content.
REQUIREMENTS:
· Degree holder in humanities.
· Excellent command of English. Proficiency in Chinese a plus.
· 3 years' editorial experience and a minimum of 1 year management experience.
· Web publishing experience strongly preferred.
· Interest in researching/keeping abreast of trends in the related consumer markets.
· Strong analytical / conceptual / problem solving skills.
· Creative and innovative.
· Attention to detail, flexibility, a commitment to quality, and a sense of humor essential.
