DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Troubleshooting and resolution of network problems.
2. Participate in the installation and commissioning of projects.
3. Prepare and maintain prompt, complete documentation including network design, project plan, acceptance test plan, equipment configuration and other documents as required for customer sign-off upon acceptance of deliverables and hand-over for each assigned project.
4. Project implementation which shall include inspecting of equipment functionality before delivery and staging network equipment where required to ensure suppliers and vendors execute acceptance testing plans according to acceptance criteria.
5. Provide 7x24 standby/onsite support/fault calls.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Degree/Diploma in IT or related field with minimum 4 years Internetworking experience
- Preferably CCNP certified.
- Sound knowledge of networking technologies such as Internetworking Fundamentals, and Routing Protocols like RIPv2, IGRP, EIGRP, OSPF and BGP.
- Working knowledge with hands-on experience in at least one or more of the following Cisco related products like Cisco 2500/2600/3600/7200 and Catalyst 4000/5000/6500.
- Competent in LAN/WAN Technologies like VLAN, ISDN, ATM, and Frame-Relay.
- Experience in at least one or more of the following Network Management System: HPOV, Network Node Manager, Micromuse / NetCool, Concord (eHealth5.5), CiscoWorks 2000, or CiscoView.
- Understanding of Network design, and Performance Analysis using SnifferPro.
- Ability to independently analyze and solve complex technical problems.
- Good Written / oral Communication skills. Professional manner, punctual, self-motivated and able to work efficiently and responsibly with minimum supervision.
