- Interface with clients to obtain details of proposed or existing installations to determine permitting/submission requirements at the start of projects.
- Where necessary carry out pre-consultations with the relevant local authorities and/or clients insurers to obtain clarification or prepare/submit waiver applications for installations.
- Interface with inter-discipline departmental personnel & clients to obtain details of equipments, processes, architectural & structure elements with a view to access and ensure that all necessary fire safety, mechanical services and ministry of manpower (MOM) code requirements are addressed.
- Design and draft freehand schematic and over-mark layout plans for CAD staff to produce permitting plans for submission to the relevant local authorities and/or clients insurers.
- Co-ordinate with Fire Fighting Specialists Contractor to prepare detailed hydraulic calculations for permitting/submission to local authorities
- Co-ordinate with HVAC designers to prepare , endorse and submit OTTV calculations to local authorities.
- Review detailed design/construction & as-built plans & calculations for fire fighting /HVAC /Plumbing & Sanitary /Town Gas/Heavy lifting equipment/Mechanical Equipment& Vessels prior to submission to authorities.
- Provide PE/QP endorsement on the relevant plans, calculations and reports.
- Liaise with the local authorities on all matters related to the Submissions.
- Provide technical guidance and direction to the engineering/drafting staff in the interpretation and implementation of local & international (NFPA/FM) code requirements
- Co-ordinate and liaise with registered inspectors on site inspections for TFP & FSC.
- Assist Architect/Structural QP to co-ordinate CSC application & approval process.
