REQUIREMENTS:
1) Degree/Diploma in IT or related field with minimum 3 to 5 years of Internetworking, Security or Pre-sales experience.
2) Preferably with CCNP, CISA, CCSE, MCSE 2000 and/or SCSA certifications.
3) Sound knowledge of :
a) Networking technologies such as Internetworking Fundamentals, and Routing Protocols like RIPv2, IGRP, EIGRP, OSPF and BGP. Hands-on experience in at least one or more of the following Cisco related products like Cisco 2500/2600/3600/7200 and Catalyst 4000/5000/6500;
b) Internet and Systems Securities (VPN, PKI, IDS, OS Hardening, etc); and/or
c) Operating Systems such as NT, Win2K and Unix (Installation, configuration, trouble shooting, Performance Tuning, Capacity Planning, etc.).
4) Competent in LAN/WAN Technologies like VLAN, ISDN, ATM and Frame-Relay.
5) Experience in at least one or more of the following Network or Systems Management Tools : HPOV, Tivoli, SMS, BMC Patrol, Network Node Manager, Micromuse / NetCool, Concord (eHealth5.5), CiscoWorks 2000 or CiscoView.
6) Ability to independently analyze and solve complex technical problems.
7) Able to prepare and conduct presentations.
8) Good Written / oral Communication skills. Professional manner, punctual, self-motivated and able to work efficiently and responsibly with minimum supervision.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1) Troubleshooting and resolution of network, security or systems’ problems.
2) Participate in the installation and commissioning of projects.
3) Prepare and maintain prompt, complete documentation including design, project plan, acceptance
Test plan, equipment/OS configurations and other documents as required for sign-off upon acceptance of deliverables and hand-over for each assigned project.
4) Project implementation which shall include inspecting of equipment functionality before delivery
and staging network equipment where required to ensure suppliers and vendors execute acceptance testing plans according to acceptance criteria.
5) Provide 7x24 standby/onsite support/fault calls.
6) Prepare and conduct presentations as when required (Pre-sales position).
