My Qualifications Are
My Projects Instrumentation and Control Systems Design experience encompassed Petrochemical, Oil Field, Refinery, Coal Gasification, and Power generation projects of Instrumentation and Control Systems Design. Overseas projects included Saudi Arabia, Guatemala, Pakistan, and Prudo Bay Alaska.
My Projects Design Engineering responsibilities and duties included conducting analysis, review, of contractual design commitments. Checking of Projects Specifications ensuring and verifying design contractual commitment compliance. Assisted in the compilation and Formulation associated Design Schedules and the related cost estimates. Incorporating the Companies and the A&E standards and applicable industrial Codes into the plant design, expansion and construction Specifications.
Project P&ID’s site requirements
Conducting Supervision, Direction, Guidance and Counseling of Engineering Personnel, Associate Engineers, Contract Engineers, and Contract Designers in conducting sizing of the Project Instruments: Control Valves, (Fisher, Massoneilon and Valtek) the associated Asco Solenoid valves, Massoneilon I/P Transducers. Determined applicable tubing and piping size taking care to eliminate flashing and cavitation. Coordinated the sizing of the Daniel’s, Vickery Sims Orifice Plated, Restriction Orifices well as other Restriction Devices, Level Gauges and Rupture Discs. Generated Rosemount Level, Temperature, Pressure, and Flow Transmitters purchase requisitions. Originated or Modified Annunciation/Alarm Systems panel design, layout and the corresponding Mimic panels.
Generated the related Purchase Requisitions including the Applicable ISA Spec sheets ensuring compliance with the codes and standards. Responsible for selecting qualified venders to purchase cost effective material, determining lead times ensuring timely compliance with established design schedules.

Ensuring compliance with established company standard and the latest revision thereof and the latest revision and/or addenda of the applicable NEC CODE edition Article 500 Hazardous Locations Class I, II, & III Division 1 and 2, groups A, B, C, D, E, F, G.
Ensuring Intrinsic safety in accordance with NEC Article 504, and the NEC Nonincendive Code 500-2 and the related grounding requirements and fire prevention throughout the process design and details yielding Quality Technical completeness.
And /or the corresponding International Electotechnical Commission (IEC) Code Class’s I, Zone 0, Group IIA, Class I, Zone 1, group IIB Class I, Zone 2, Group IIC.
The new format incorporated the applicable Codes and/or Standards and incorporated the related ISA Specification in the Purchase Order Requisitions. Formulated associated Design Schedules and related cost estimates. Maintained the Project’s Files I.E.: Control circuits, Power circuits Electrical Schematics, I/O’s, Panel layouts and Operator Console drawings.
Accountable for all Instrumentation specifications and Purchase Order (PR) selection of: Electronic and Pneumatic instruments, P&ID development, Loop sheet design, Junction box design utilized in Projects Design, Modifications and Expansion. Typical of the multiple UOP Modular Butamer units MTBE, and CCR Refining and Petrochemical processes units in Calgary Canada, Australia, Venezuela, Indonesia.
My Responsibilities and Duties includes overseeing drafting systems for the generation of the process design including the generation of the Electrical Schematics, Electrical Conduit Run’s, Hydraulic and Pneumatic Small Bore Tubing Run's. The Interconnects, Panel Layouts, Logic diagrams and Junction Box layouts. Liable for checking the design drawings Including applicable ISO’s to ensure compliance with established Company Standards and applicable Codes, and ensuring / verifying compliance with the purchase requisitions. Incorporated the related Purchase Requisition Instrument components in the maintenance of the Instrument Indexes.
Determined and specified Thermetric-Maveric Thermocouples and Thermowells, Crouse & Hinds Analog, Digital and Power Junction Boxes.
Electrical Engineering encompassed both high and low voltage systems. Determining and sizing of SwitchGear, Motor Control Centers including the Step down Transformers, PT’s CT’s and the related protective relaying. (Over Current & Under Voltage). As well as the associated circuit breakers, Sync Switches, Conduit and wiring in conformance with NEC Code. Conducted the required Load Shedding analysis, modified Control Panels and originated heat tracing design. Also updated and or revised the procedures utilized in Start-up, Outages and Maintenance.
Site Construction experience includes: Directing, Guiding, Counseling of site Construction Supervisors, Engineers, and Technicians in the installation of project site design. Generated Project work order’s troubleshooting and calibration. Provided Subcontractor Fabrication Purchase requisitions. Oversaw the generated of Projects Startup, Walk downs, and commissioning procedures.
Projects over sea’s assignments included Calgary Canada, Maravan Venezuela, Australia, Indonesia, Guatemala, Saudi Arabia, Prudo Bay Alaska; Military assignments included Calcutta India, Karachi Pakistan, and Anchorage Alaska.
