DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
I work at one of the biggest department stores 6 days a week for about two years now. I work with and supervise 9-11 people everyday insuring all
electrical systems are in working operation. My job includes the following:
. Maintains the Generators, Escalators, Elevators and other electrical devises by compiling daily census counts to determine what needs to be repaired or replaced.
. Calculates the total square footage of the building to determine the heat gain and the cooling capacity requirement and relative humidity, the occupancy rating and the amount of direct sunlight that covers the area to be cooled
. Conducts regular tests of the emergency gerators to insure the correct amount of wattage is downloaded to adequately supply the emergency lighting of the department store and keeping the Fire an Security Alarm Annunciator pane on line along with the telephone system
. Organizes a comprehensive preventative maintenance that includes taking electric motor for cleaning of the rotor and stator and oiling and repacking the bearings
. Takes electrical usage readingsof every escalator, elevator, air handling units along with condenser cooling towers and the wlk-in coolers in the grocery area
. Supervises corrective maintenance of changing out electrical motors in the escalators, elevators and air handling of the refrigeration equipment and condenser cooling tower motors
. Installs Telephone and Fire Alarm System annunciation panels and keep updated schematic diagram of the department store insuring it is the compliance with the Cebu City and the National Fire Protection Agency and conducting regular alarm checks to the remote panel alarm system
. Coordinates monitoring of the control circuit board alarm system that relays which electronic control has cut-off the airconditioner, motor or fire control sector due to trouble in the electrical system
