China Southwest Airlines
Field Service Support Contract
Completed a contract of 3 months duration as technical support to China Southwest Airlines, working with their (CAE, manufactured in 1994) B737-300 full flight simulator based at their facility in Chengdu, China.Duties include assisting with maintenance and training the junior personnel on the Simulator’s associated peripheral devices. Secondary duties involve me being the technical liaison between the Airline and the various vendors world wide when necessary.

Field Service Support Contract
Completed a contract of 3 months duration as technical support to maintain and instruct Engineers and Technicians in the operation of a ESIG SPX-500HT WIDE Visual system, which is installed on a (RSL, manufactured 1981) B737-200 Full flight simulator at the “Flight Training Center-Chile” facility in Santiago, Chile. This included performing a training course and compiling a technical training manual for the new/junior personnel. Other duties included leading a shift and assisting with the daily simulator operations/maintenance.

Position Simulator Engineer (Specializing in Visual Systems)
Initially contracted, and later employed (May 1996) as a Simulator Engineer in the first line maintenance, fault diagnosis and repair of 3 full flight simulators made up of a B747-200/300 (Singer Link); B727-200 (Singer Link); A300-B4 (LMT) in the Quadrant Flight Training centre in Burgess Hill, UK. Additionally I specialised in Visual Systems installation, commissioning, alignment and maintenance as per CAA/FAA training specifications. Secondary duties included “on bench” test, repair and calibration of electronic circuit boards all within an ISO accredited environment. Other duties included locating spare parts for the simulators from suppliers as well as a host of flight training centres worldwide. I was also responsible for the control of all calibrated tools and test equipment within the company according to ISO specification. I am competent in the use of personal computers (using Lotus notes or Windows 3.1/95/98, Office 97 software) and maintaining/creating documentation with regard to Flight training procedures.

Position Simulator Technician
Employed for the in house manufacture, commissioning and site installation of a CN 235 full flight simulator for Merpati Nusantara Airlines (Surabaya, Indonesia). My Primary duty was the installation, optical alignment and electronic calibration of the visual system (McDonnell Douglas/Flight Safety-Vital IV visual system). Other duties included motion system and control loading installation, cockpit installation and power up.
