SHERWOOD FLEXIBLES
- Began a four year apprenticeship in all aspects of
four colour planning reproduction.
Duties Include - Shoooting flat artworks on the camera. From negative
completly colour seperating jobs from line work to final films for use for making photo polymer plates for flexo.
1988
Duties Included - In 1988 Sherwood Flexibles was bought out by Brent Chemicals and merged with another repro company Winnetts Graphics now the
name of the company. In 1989 company decided to go towards digital repro and i with three others were the first in the company to go to Belgium on the C.A.D training course with Barco;s new 940 work stations. More training was given back in the U.K. Flat bed scanning. laser plotter scanning and outputing of film along with type setting and new repro skills.
After three years the company had grown and grown and i became shift superviser over five other people.
1993 to 1994

Duties Included - Hand planning for a magazine company with 52 titles Although going back to traditional planning i was now
gaining experience in litho work which since has proved valuable.
1995 ROTHMANS OF PALL MALL

Duties Included - Setting up and running there new 2200 Barco work station. The first Barco system installed in Australia and training some of there graphic designers with the
aspects of repro.The job was a demanding one being the only person there who could work the system and working to tight deadlines.
1995-1996 - Purshased and ran a bar in Koh Samui Thailand. This was a pleasure venture but still involved stock taking, the accounts and the general running of a bar.
1996-1998 - WINNETTS GRAPHICS Salford Manchester
Duties included - Returned to the U.K. and resumed my old job at Winnetts Graphics. Again shift supervisor and now involved with complicated packaging work in all
methods of printing litho, flexo and gravure.
Working now on a 2400 work station linked on a network with Apple macs, Barcos creator and colour com, working with most companies down the Isdn link. So i am familiar with most softwares.

EXPERIENCE ` Worked in a screen printers for a short time in my stay in Australia.
